India's Test squad for World Test Championship 2023 final

The news that got everyone's attention towards it is the arrival of Jinx i.e., Ajinkya Rahane to the Test squad interestingly since January 2022, and the pace all-rounder Shardul Thakur is likewise added into the 15 men squad. Rohit Sharma will lead the team with six expert batters, five pacers, and three spinners.

Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Virat Kohli, are the batting choices other than Rohit Sharma and Rahane. KS Bharat is the best option for wicketkeeper cum power hitter despite of his below average performances in the 4-Test series against Australia at home. Rahane comes instead of Shreyas Iyer, who will miss the game because of a back physical issue. KL Rahul was at first named in the last 15 however got excluded because of hamstring injury during the ongoing IPL 2023. Ishan Kishan is named as his substitution in the squad.

Australia's Test Squad for the WTC Final 2023

On 19 of April 2023, The Australian Cricket Board announced 17-men squad for the WTC Final against India. According to ICC guidelines, the squad will be sliced to 15 players for the game. Pat Cummins is the skipper, while Steve Smith will play the role of vice-captain.

David Warner and Usman Khawaja are surely gonna open, with Marcus Harris included as the reinforcement. Steve Smith, Travis Head, and Marnus Labuschagne hopefully will bat in the middle, with Matthew Renshaw included as an backup. Josh Inglis is the reinforcement wicketkeeper behind Alex Carey.

Pat Cummins will lead the 4-men pace attack, including Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and Scott Boland, enhanced by the fast all-rounders Cameron Green and returning Mitchell Marsh, Nathan Lyon, and Todd Murphy in the twist office.

WTC Final 2023 Match Schedule

The final of the 2021-2023 ICC World Test Title will be played among India and Australia from 7 to 11 June 2023 at the Oval, London, Britain. 12 June is a backup day.
